Perhaps the most alluring and iconic Champagne today, Moët & Chandon Impérial was created in 1869 and is a treasure of Champagne society. The flagship of Moët & Chandon, the Impérial Brut is the most accomplished and universal expression of its style. Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage champagnes are made from the grapes of a single exceptional year. Each Grand Vintage is unique.

Since 1842, the House has released 69 vintage champagnes and Moët possesses one of the world’s most prestigious collection of vintage champagnes, all of which are safeguarded in the Grand Vintage Reserve cellars.

Moet has been associated with the sparkle of success and glamour ever since the House was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët. His grandson Jean-Remy Moët set out to conquer the market and soon transformed Moët & Chandon into an international symbol of celebration, accomplishing his lifelong goal of sharing the magic of champagne with the world. A man with a true spirit of achievement and leadership, it is to him the house owe’s its reputation as the world’s most loved champagne. The important figures of the era, from the Marquise de Pompadour to Talleyrand to Napoleon quickly fell in love with the House’s effervescent wine. Moët & Chandon was soon the icon of success and elegance that it remains to this day.

The quality grapes are grown on the most extensive estates in the region. Of the 1,150 hectares of rich chalk soil, 50{3e01c3f874ea5f7caa3047ac41a670f2c9c11c7e3defc7e67e5beeaf085fca5b} are Grand Crus, and 25{3e01c3f874ea5f7caa3047ac41a670f2c9c11c7e3defc7e67e5beeaf085fca5b} are Premiers Crus. The House has access to approximately 200 of the 323 crus in the region, including a total of 17 grands crus and 32 of the 44 premiers crus. This wide-ranging diversity of fruits and vineyards ensures the optimum selection of grapes, enabling them to maintain the constancy of Moët Impérial and the originality of Grand Vintage.
